Semi Final vs Bendigo United Preview

Last time we met: Round 4 2015/16 – Bendigo United 5/131 (Bourke 1/20) lost to White Hills 3/136 (O’Neill 65, T. Miles 40no) at Glen Loddon Homes Oval.
The under 18s have finished 2nd on the ladder and will once again play finals. They take on Bendigo United at Glen Loddon Homes oval in what should be a good contest. White Hills has been playing some good cricket of late and will carry a 5 game winning streak into the contest having not lost since playing Strathdale Maristians back in round 9. Likewise Bendigo United have also won their past 5 with their last loss also against Strathdale Maristians in round 6. Skipper Tallis Miles has been outstanding with the bat this season with 338 runs while younger brother Jarrett Miles has made 216. Ben Daley is also in good form after he made 60no last round. With the ball, Jarrett Miles has led the way with 21 wickets while spinner Jack Bourke has 16 wickets. The young Demons have done well to limit the impact of the opposition “big name” players and they will be determined to not let the Redbacks Riley Treloar and Jack Bouwmeester (both A grade players) have an impact with bat and ball. In good news for the Demons, they have only lost once at Glen Loddon Homes Oval this season with that being their round 2 clash with Golden Square.
Teams:
White Hills: T. Miles (c), J. Miles, Dickins, Bull, Bourke, O’Neill, Maher, Daley, Calder, Braszell, Christensen.
Bendigo United: Shewell (c), Treloar, Bouwmeester, Dean, Griffiths, Smith, Slater, Petri, Lawrence, Stewart, Quirk.
